Flower flow – edits

Greenshot 2018-02-10 18.22.12.pngInspired by a technique in Adobe Illustrator which is able to produce detailed organic line art. I realised I could utilise this in a similar manner as I have done previously. While most of these works haven’t been published they utilise the displace tool (Filter<Distort<Display). While this tool is typically used for imprinting text on images making the text appear imprinted on surfaces and textures.

However I have used it to blend the properties of an images structure with the initial picture. The imprinting of properties therefore creates an entirely new expression influenced by the displaced image, either distorting, complementing or adding to the meaning initial photograph.

While these edits are entirely experimental I seek to implement these particular shapes to further develop the Disunited concept. The following images shows different variations:
